Marylanza Suites and Spa
Reviewed 5 October 2022
Top rated hotel, though do not stay in Block G.
I chose the Marylanza for its location, and gym and spa. I opted for the basic suite with all-inclusive meals. I planned to upgrade on arrival but the suite proved to be more than adequate. The website description did not do it justice with a well equipped kitchen, clean separate rooms, and patio to enjoy the sunsets. It proved to be excellent value for money. The complex has all the amenities of a 5-star hotel except for a convenience shop, which would have been handy, though there are supermarkets in walking distance.

I was concerned the hotel would be too close to the ‘lively’ Playa de las Americas but not at all, the location is quiet. There is, however, a ‘but’ as below. The nearest beach is a considerable walk and a taxi might be required for some for the uphill journey back. Plenty of shops and eateries in Playa de la Americas to enjoy on the way.
The best thing however … the hotel spa is simply the best I have ever seen anywhere around the world. So well equipped and again the website did not do it justice. The gym too is excellent. I was put out at first that I had to pay €10 a day to use the gym and spa, believing it was included, but honestly just do it.

The hotel staff are so friendly you will be hugging them by the time you leave. The food is excellent and available all day in some form or other. The hotel seems to cater very well for young families and the disabled.
A fabulous hotel that scores high marks – 4.5/5
I would have scored this hotel top marks except my room being above the noisy, nightly entertainment block. I stayed in my room on a Sunday night to watch sport on TV and it was as if Queen were performing in my bathroom until nearly 11pm. Luckily I had noise cancellation headphones.
I am missing that spa.
