Ubiquitous Chip – Glasgow’s West End

A Chip off a Reassuringly Extravagant Block

Reassuringly Extravagant

I first went to the ‘Chip’ for a date following a recommendation. I have now been a second time and it is without doubt my favourite restaurant in Glasgow.

The food and service is excellent. I asked for a romantic table first visit and this was provided without fuss. The wine list was superb, and thankfully my date did not opt for the most expensive bottle of red!

The ‘Chip’ has a charm and eloquence about it that is unique. It may not be to every one’s taste – where Charles Darwin meets Gordon Ramsey. There is also an upstairs bar where you can chill a bit more.

My second visit to the ‘Chip’ was for a theme night of Opera singing by a professional duet with pianist. Superb taster menu meal with accompanying wine and entertainment.

Highly, highly recommended. Ideal for a celebration.
